Editorial Policy
How we write, review and correct everything published on Better Flirting. Last updated September 15, 2026.
Our standard in one sentence
Every guide should make a reader more confident and more respectful of the other person’s response. Content that would do one without the other does not get published.
No manipulation, ever
We do not publish content that teaches or endorses:
- pickup-artist tactics, “dark psychology” or mind games;
- negging, or any attempt to lower someone’s confidence;
- jealousy tactics, emotional withholding, love bombing, or ignoring someone so they chase you;
- “make them obsessed”, “break resistance” or similar framing;
- pressure, coercion, or persistence after a no.
Where these ideas are mentioned, it is only to explain clearly why they are disrespectful and why they backfire.
Reciprocity and consent
Our guides treat attraction as something that must be mutual. We teach readers to look for patterns of reciprocity rather than single signals, never claim that one behavior proves interest, and state plainly that body language never proves consent. Every tactical guide includes when to ease off or stop.
No guaranteed attraction
No advice can make someone interested in you, and we never claim otherwise. We describe what tends to help people express interest clearly and read the response. We avoid words like “guaranteed”, “irresistible” or “works every time”.
No fake psychology or invented numbers
- We do not invent studies, researchers, surveys or statistics, and we do not write “studies show” without a real source.
- We avoid pseudoscience such as “trigger dopamine”, “primal brain” or “attraction hormones”.
- We do not publish fake numeric rules, such as holding eye contact for an exact number of seconds or waiting a set number of hours to reply.
- We avoid unsupported gender stereotypes. People are individuals, not targets.
- We link only to reputable external sources, and we check that links work.
Adult-only content
Better Flirting is for adults. We do not create content aimed at minors or framed around school-age dating, and our tools refuse requests that involve anyone under 18. Content about romantic or sexual tension is non-explicit and focused on consenting adults and mutual interest.
Sensitive settings
Where we discuss workplaces, service staff, gyms or other settings where someone may not want attention, we emphasize professional boundaries, power imbalance, company policy and personal space. We do not publish “how to seduce” content for these settings.
How guides are produced
Guides are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and then reviewed against this policy by the Better Flirting Editorial Team. Automated checks scan every guide before publishing for manipulative phrasing, minor-related content, invented statistics and broken links, and anything flagged is reviewed by a person. We don’t attribute guides to invented experts or credentials.
Commercial content
Better Flirting is funded by Flirt Blueprint, our own $7 one-time product. Guides link to it and to our free tool. We do not accept payment to place products in guides, and we don’t publish fake reviews or ratings.
Updates and corrections
We review guides periodically and update them when advice can be made clearer, safer or more useful. Each guide shows its published and updated dates. If you spot an error, something that feels off, or advice that could be misused, email hello@betterflirting.com. We read every message and correct confirmed errors promptly.
